Budget Billing
Spread electricity bills evenly throughout the year

Minnesota Power customers can choose to spread their year's electricity bills evenly throughout all 12 months to avoid the higher-than-average monthly bills that come with cold weather. This service makes it easier to budget your money because you know exactly what your monthly MP bill will be. There's no reason to let winter burden you with higher utility bills: just choose Budget Billing.

Incentives:
Budget Billing levels out seasonal highs and lows on monthly electric bills. You'll pay the same amount for your electric service each month, and the current status of your Budget Billing account is shown on the reverse side of your bill.

Conditions:
There is no charge for this service. For new customers, we will estimate the total cost of the electric energy you can expect to use in a year and divide this amount into 12 monthly payments. For current customers, an MP representative will calculate your Budget Billing by averaging the last 12 months' electric usage. Your account will be reviewed periodically and may be adjusted to reflect actual usage.

How to Participate:
To apply for Budget Billing, complete the online form below.

For more information about Budget Billing, call your local MP office at 218-722-2625 or 1-800-228-4966 (for use in Minnesota only).
