Minnesota Power upgraded the electric distribution system in the Chisholm area, converting the distribution voltage to a higher operating voltage to improve reliability and performance.
- Planned outages occurred in stages on July 28–29 and August 18–19.
- Outages began at 8:00 a.m.
- Work was conducted in stages throughout the city.

- Customers experienced a single outage of 4–6 hours between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4.
- Outages began Aug. 31 at 8:00 a.m.
- Work was conducted in stages throughout the city.
